A weekend of fun

Breisch and I had a great time in Greenville this past weekend. Friday night we had a Birthday Crawfish boil for Steve. Happy Birthday OLD MAN! It was a great family get together.

Lou cooked our YUMMY meal and Breisch and Steve were diligently taking notes.

Saturday night Breisch and I went to Kelly and Dan Gordon's wedding. Kelly was a Tri Delta with me at State and she graduated high school with Kelly. It was really fun to see everybody and to hear what everyone was up to. Her wedding was beautiful.

Kelly was a great surprise. She was my roommate when I lived in the Tri Delta house at State. I was so glad to see her. We have a great visit and I cannot wait for her to give me the details on her wedding. HA!

A friend's Wedding...

One of my dearest college friends got married this weekend. It was a very organized wedding, which was very surprising considering she did it all from Washington D.C. and the wedding was in Vicksburg, MS. The wedding consisted of a traditional ceremony with a seat down dinner to follow, and after that the party started with a great band to end. Congrats Andy and Rebekah! I hope you guys have fun in Costa Rica!

Kimberly's Wedding....and random thoughts

I know I have not been keeping up with my blog or my blog friends for that matter, but a lot has happened in the last month. I am now working for Abbott Lab. selling "drugs". I cannot say too much about it because the company has not launched the drug yet, (more details to come on the job) but I am very excited about the new challenges that are ahead. I am going to Chicago Monday for training and will be gone for two weeks. Will somebody please call my husband to check on him during that time? And if you really feel sorry for him you, can feed him too. (LOL) I am just kidding! He takes care of himself and me on a daily basis, so one person should be easy for him.

I know this picture is random. I was looking through my pictures today and came across Kimberly's wedding. It was a great wedding, and I do not think I got around to posting anything about it. (Kimberly, I have lots of pics I need to get to you). The wedding was in May. Like I said, the wedding what amazing with so much thought put into the planning, (more pictures at the bottom) but I singled out the picture above for a reason. THESE ARE THE GIRLS! The girls I speak so highly of, who played such a huge role in my life at a very important time, and because of that, they hold a very special place in my heart. When I mention community, this is who I mean! Now don't get me wrong, I have other very special people in my life (my current small group), but as my first small group well.... That is something I will always remember, and for that I am thankful. I LOVE YOU ALL AND THINK ABOUT YOU OFTEN!

A neat wedding idea...

This weekend Breisch and I went to Little Rock, AR for Adam's wedding. Adam is Breisch's long time friend, but since we have gotten married Breisch and Adam have not spent a lot of time together. It was really fun to finally get to meet Abby and hang out with both of them together. I also wanted to say it was one of most creative weddings I have ever been to. It was really organized and very personable. I am only sorry I did not take more pictures. To the left, is a picture of Breisch and I at the reception.

For those of you planning a wedding, here is a creative idea! The picture on the left was one of the focal points of the reception. The two dresses are their parents' wedding dresses and the pictures displayed in the middle are of the bride and groom's parents at their weddings. She also had other focal points such as the cakes and a wall of frames with pictures of them. The decorations were intimate and creative. You can tell that a lot of thought went into prepare this wedding.

Faux Pas of Wearing White to a Wedding

I have always heard wearing white to a wedding was disrespectful unless you are the bride. But as I searched the Internet, I see this is a conflicting matter. I think the location plays a big role in this ruling, but I want to ask you what you think. Is this FAUX PAS now just a Southern rule or a BIG No No in general? Can we as Southern Belles wear WHITE to a wedding or NOT? The other color to stay away from, so I hear, is red, but at this day and time I do not think that is really up for discussion.

2007 Weddings

A Year Full of New Beginnings
This year will be remember in detail for a life time. When Breisch and I got married last year, we had no idea what God had in store for us in the up coming year, but we were ready - SO we thought! On February 24, 2007, we got married (the best thing I ever did) and from there life seems like one big blur. Do not get me wrong it has been so much FUN, but it has been one year and it seems like we are just now able to catch our breath. God has bless us with many friends, and most of them all got married in the 2007 year. I can promise you if I was not at a wedding on the weekend, I was at a wedding shower. (See Below)
