Weekend full of Birthdays

My sister (Lizzie), Steve, and Laura Beth came in town this weekend for Hannah Clarie and Zane's birthday Party, which is on Steve side of the family. We had a lot of fun visiting with them. Below are some pictures at the party, but first I have to share this video of Gage. He is just starting to notice animals and he thinks they are so funny. My mom brought my Dog, Kaddle, which was a gift to me in College, with her and Gage loved it. I am sorry the video is dark, but you can still hear my sweet little man laughing his head off.

Day 2 of Vacation

We finally made it to the beach today and to no surprise Gage loved it. I am so glad he likes his sunglasses and hat. He does not mess with either of them. It is a tradition to take picture at some point on the beach. It is an event that test all the parents' patience. Below are some of the pictures: (I am sorry but a lot of our pictures are on Nana and Pop Pop's Camera. I will post more of our family later).

Vacation - Day One

The first day at the beach was a great success. Gage loved the water. He kicked and kicked until he could not kick any more. After the pool, Gage slept for 3 hours so I guess he had fun. I have to admit I was a little worried about traveling with him but he has done great. He is a great traveler. He loves his pack n play. God has answered all my prayer when traveling with my little man.

It's a Boy!

We are so excited and blessed to be having a baby boy. We went to the doctor at 8:30 this morning in hopes that the little bug would work with us, and we are so excited that He did. Of course, right after that "proud mommy" had to go buy something blue (see above). This cute little outfit was a great find. It is for a newborn it just looks bigger in the picture.

Welcome, Zane Smith

I have had a crazy day today. Last night Steve, my brother-n-law called to inform me Laura, his sister, is having her baby today. That in itself was great news, but the conversation got even better when Steve asked me to babysit Laura Beth, while he spent the day with Laura. I was so excited I almost could not sleep (Ha). First, lets welcome Zane in the world and then I will tell you what Laura Beth and I did.

I wish you could have seen Laura Beth today at the Hospital. She is just old enough to know when things are not a part of her normal day. Trying to entertain her at the hospital was something you just had to see.

These two cousins were fighting for attention. If daddy was taken pictures of the baby Zane, Laura Beth wanted to be in her daddy's arms.

If you look closely you will see something green in Laura Beth's hand...it's a spoon. We brought her lunch up but not any of her toys. Soooo we got five spoons out of her lunch bag and banged them on the window, floor and anything else she could fine. Mommy, please wash all of her spoons thoroughly.

After we left the hospital before we even got out of the parking lot, this was Laura Beth.

When we got home I was going to try to put her down for her nap. I had this great idea to leave her in the van while it was still going., run inside and put the pack-n-play up, come back and get her so she would not wake up. The plan was working until I came back outside to get her... she was playing in her car seat. Sooo we watched a movie instead.

I love this picture. She knows what cameras are for. I was just trying to get a picture of her watching TV like a big girl. As soon as I took the camera out to take the picture she looked at me and smiled.

Tonight, some of my friends are coming in town to stay the night with me for a fun filled weekend. I will post more on that later.

Beach Trip with the Stallings and the Gaston

Last weekend we went to the beach with Breisch's parents and his sisters Family, the Gastons. We really enjoyed ourselves. I was very excited to get some time in with the kids. On the first day, Breisch, Reid, and I went to the beach while the rest of the gang went to shop. We had a great time playing in the sand and going down the water slide.
The next day, Lily joined us and she loved the sand and the water.
On, the last night we always try to get some good family pictures, but with two kids you can imagine the out come.

In the middle of taken pictures this plan flew over the water. It was so close I thought a shark was going to come out of the water and drag it in the ocean.

Much fun in the Lonestar State

Last weekend Breisch and I headed to Texas for a family function. As you can see from the picture below, it was a crawfish boil that our extended family holds every year. It was so much fun and so many people. Just one of my dad's siblings has 6 children who are all married with their own children. With such a big family, it is hard to see everybody, but it was really great to see all of the ones who came.
These are two of my cousins. They are twins, and the girl on the left is my god-daughter. They were so much fun, and they love the camera.
This is a picture of my father and Jude, one of the twins. They are such people lovers. It does not matter who you are they will love on you!

Here are Lizzie, Steve, and Laura Beth (my Niece) at the crawfish boil. She is a little over 3 months old and is so much fun to play with. I think her favorite thing to do is smile at ME. After the crawfish boil, Steve, Lizzie, Laura Beth, Breisch, and I loaded up the van and headed to Dallas, TX for some sight seeing. We got there at about 10:30 Saturday night and went straight to sleep. The next day we went to the JFK Memorial and Museum (The Sixth Floor Museum). Below is a picture of the window from where at least three out of the four shots were fired. They are not really sure how many shots were fired, but they are for sure three and think possibly four. After this weekend, I think one of the first questions I will ask when I get to heaven is "Who really killed JFK?"
Here is Steve (my Brother-in-law) taking pictures on the "X" where the car was sitting at the time of the first shot. Yes, he is in the middle of the road and yes, cars do drive on this road. For a minute, I thought Steve was a goner!
I know...don't we look cute! To cap the night off, we decided to go to Medieval Times. This is a fun dinner and show that interacts with the crowd. They have sword fights, horse riding, and competitive games. If you get a chance, this is something anybody would enjoy, but if you have kids, it is a must! Below is a picture of them introducing the knights. As you can see from our crowns, we are cheering for the yellow knight, so during the entire show we want our knight to win.

Sorry the pictures were so blurry. We were in the crowd and it was dark so the flash did not pick up everything with the movement.
