Christmas with the Stallings Family

I wish I would have got more pictures, but I was a little busy this year. Next year I will not have to hold little Gage so much.

Pop Pop holding Gage. They had such a great time making faces at each other. I think I got 30 or so pictures of them. It was really fun to watch!

Anna Grace holding Gage. Gage loves Anna Grace. He never cries with her. She is so good with babies and will make a GREAT Babysitter for anyone. That is when she get old enough.

Lily is also loving so babies. She received a couple of babies for Christmas. One she named Jesus and the other Jage AKA Gage. She loves her cousin Gage too. I think it is safe to say her quote for the year is "hold baby Jage". She is so cute to watch.

This is all the kidos opening their presents. This year we did it in rounds and the kids really liked it and play along well. It was good for the adults to see each child open their presents and doing it in rounds made them open them a little more slower. We will have to remember it for next year.

Again baby Gage's meal time fell right in the middle of opening presents. Daddy was the all time present opener this year. Thanks Dad!

Pictures over Christmas Break

Due to never having enough time in the day, I am going to make quick one liners under each picture. Sorry to be short but these days life here is always crazy, but I would not want it any other way.

This is Erin loving on Gage at a Christmas Tri Delta Dinner. We try to meet once a month and this was the first time for them to see Gage. He loved all the attention and cannot wait until next time.

If you know me at all you know that my life changed when I met these girls four years ago. This was my first small group now known as OSG (Old small group). I am so glad we keep in touch. I can honestly say that I would not be where I am today if it was not for them. I love you guys. We need to make sure we have a Christmas party every year.

On to Christmas with the Family - Paw paw with Gage. Quick up date on Gage. He is now 3 months old and is wearing 6 month clothes. He is enjoying exploring the world and loves to hear you talk, which is good for me.

Laura Beth opening her first present at our house. She loves Mickey Mouse Club House, the Loin King, and Memo (Nemo). She is talking so much and loves to read. She will sit with you and tell you what each page is about in the book. Here is Laura Beth opening her princess outfits that Gran gave her. She likes the crown the best!
This is Breisch and Gage on the Couch Christmas Morning. There is not any pictures of Gage during present time because that was also has meal time.

The Gift that Uncle Lou Lou gave her has like 5 parts to it. This is the swing that she can put the baby in to swing.

We had so much fun this year as our family grows. Celebrating the birth of Christ was very different this year. Their is something special about Celebrating Christmas with Childern.

Playing Catch-up

Well, I a lot has happened in the past couple of weeks. Gage is now taking a least 2 bottles during the day and sometimes more. He is eating only one time in the middle of the night with his last bottle being at 11:30 or midnight, during in the day he eats every 3 hours. He is smiling more this ever, and he is cooing non-stop. We have started putting him on his tummy more, but he is not a fan of the tummy at all!

Two weekends ago we went to Breisch's work Christmas party and saw the new Butler Snow building. I needed to see what my husband has been working on NON-STOP for the past several months. The building was really impressive. The Christmas party had a Santa Clause for the children, which was great because this way I did not have to wait in a line somewhere else.

Before the Christmas party Breisch and I brought a Van. Yes, I am officially a "Mini Van Mom." It was really more Breisch than Me. A couple of weeks ago Breisch was packing me and Gage up to go to Greenville for a couple of days and I think that did it for him. You see in a Hybrid the Batteries take up most of the trunk space so he was pretty much done after that. After getting the van, I honestly do not see how anyone lives without one. I realize it is not the coolest thing to drive but when you have Children you live every moment thinking how you can better serve them. The best feature on the van is the automatic slide doors. I truly feel like a independent women now. Thanks to my hubby. Saturday was a big day for us. We went to the Christmas party, brought a van and than Breisch's side of the family came over and ate super with us. It was so much fun to see Reed and Lily interact with Gage. They should do love their little cousin.

Lily loves everything about Gage these days. This is Lily babysitting Gage's lovey. She also had to help feed him too. She is such a big helper.

This weekend Nana and Pop Pop Kept Gage both Saturday and Sunday Night for us. On Saturday, Breisch and I went to a Tacky Christmas Party. It was an around the house wedding shower for a dear friend who lived three house down from me in Greenville. I CANNOT believe I did not take any pictures the outfits were crazy. (The pink bunny suit from the "Christmas Story" was the best.)

On Sunday, we went to the "Best Gift", Pinelake's Christmas Program, with our small group. Nana and Pop Pop kept Gage with Lily and Reed. The picture below is Pop Pop getting his time in with Gage. When Nana is around he has to fight for it. Ha ha.

Look what Gran did for her grandchildren. She surprise us with matching outfits for Christmas pictures from Blessed Be the Name. They have the cutest outfits and Laura Beth and Gage are going to look so adorable in them. I cannot wait until Thanksgiving to see them dress up!

Along with the Weddings - There was Life

It was not just the weddings that made this year so hectic. In April, I was in a car wreck, and I had surgery because the seat beat broke my collar bone. This is where Breisch was really tested. Can you imagine him telling me that I cannot do anything? He tried so hard to take care of me but I did not make it easy on him. This is where I learned to let people help me! After the wreck and surgery and one new car later, we sold our house and moved to Madison. It was the perfect timing!!! My arm in a sling with 24 hours to move. A BIG thanks to everyone that helped.

Pinelake in Madison is our new church home and with that comes a great small group. If anyone knows me at all, they know that I love my small group bible study. Our new small group started in September, which has really been great for us. Breisch and I know God put each of them in our lives for a reason. To see the way God works in a small group is something you have to experience to believe. We thank Him so much for blessing us with amazing Godly friends.

Breisch and I are truly overwhelmed by God's goodness and blessings over the past year. As I look back through 2007, what I remember the most is me thinking God has given me so much more than I ever needed in one year. He truly is so amazing! Just when I think it is too much, even more blessings are poured over me.

Starting out the Holidays

As you can see the holidays are quickly approaching. This weekend Breisch and I had Thanksgiving with his family Saturday night. Although, we had to move it from a Saturday lunch to a Saturday night dinner so that it would not interfere with opening weekend of gun season. Yes, hunting has officially started at the Stallings' house, and I have officially join the "hunters" wives' club". That is not a joke! Breisch and I are a part of a small group of 7 couples all of the husbands hunt so the wives get together on the weekends and do something fun and/or crazy. This weekend we went to a little shop called "Different Stokes" (one of the girls in our small group owns it) and painted pottery until about 11:00 p.m. It was great! There was no supper to cook, no dishes to wash, and no time to come home, but our husbands were definitely missed.

On Sunday the countdown began. I pulled out Breisch's Christmas tree for the first time and discovered that guys really do want the biggest of everything. Our little house now has a nine foot Christmas tree in it, barely! After I finish decorating the house, I will muddle through our wedding list to see who makes the Christmas card list... If you do not I am sorry but we are newly weds and we are broke! Above is a picture, which is our Christmas card!
