What a Treat!

Don't you just love grandparents? My parents came in town last night because my mother flew out this morning to go visit my sister and her family in TX. Before she went, we made a trip to Wal-Mart to get a few things (Not Toys), but Gran (my mother) decided to treat Gage with some toys. He played with them this morning and loved them. I think the book is the biggest hit right now, but it will not be long before he is hitting that ball out of the park.
The picture below is not the greatest because I took it with my phone, but I want to show you that after Paw Paw (my father) took my mother to the airport, he decided to take Gage shopping. First and foremost, Gage had so much fun hanging out with his Paw Paw. We went to eat lunch with Paw Paw's sister and her husband as they passed through MS going to GA. Then we went to Stride Rite, and Paw Paw bought Gage some walking shoes. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT! My little boy is almost walking. He is standing, pulling up and occasionally stands without holding on to anything. Well, Gage loves his shoes! He walked and walked all over the house this afternoon of course with me holding his hands, but never-the-less he did not want to sit down.

I also wanted to share with you a couple of pictures that I took the other day, while I was cooking dinner. I thought Gage might like to play with something different, so I gave him some bowls. He got a kick out of the noises he could make with them. I love watching him discover the World.

I know this is not a big deal to a lot of parents, but it is a HUGE answer prayer for the Stallings family. This is my sweet little boy sleeping in the church nursery. On the days that Breisch does the sound for the church, Gage is at church for about 3 1/2 hours because I teacher every week. This means he is at church during his morning nap. If you know me at all, you know that naps are a BIG deal to me. I was so thankful when I walked in and saw my little boy sleeping. This picture right here is for all the Babywise mothers. Sundays do not have to be a nightmare.

Lastly, I want to leave you with a verse that has continued to encourage me to seek His plan for my life and that is "But he who listens to me shall live securely And will be at ease from the dread of evil." Proverbs 1:33. I do not know about you, but as the world pulls me if I trust in the Lord and listen to His teaching the evil of the World will be easier to fight. I hope you all have a great weekend!

Look what I can do

Yes, Gage is pulling up. He had been pulling up on his very own for about a week now. He is not crawling yet. I know what you are thinking and the answer is NO. He might be a little late, but mommy is not worried YET! He is nine months old now, and he seems to be meeting all of his other developmental steps, so I am sure he will figure it out. He might just say forget it and start walking. Ha ha.
Here are a couple of pictures we took today. He is eating real strawberries for the first time. If you have never seen this contraption; it is pretty neat. You put food in this little mesh bag, and he can hold it a chew on it. We have done all kinds of fruit, and he loves it. They have them at Baby R Us, if you are interested.

It is VBS this week, and Gran (my mother) is coming to help out with Gage. We cannot wait to see her. We are doing a sport camp, and I am one of the cheer coaches for 1st grade. I am really excited and ready to be corny again. You know what I mean; swooshing the pony tail and putting on the cheer face. Ha ha. It is in the evening to try to beat the heat, but I really think the heat is still going to be beating us. I will try to post more about it later.
